Pengwinter is a game where players play as a penguin’s soul warrior in order to save the penguin species. This game was inspired by games like Hollow Knight, with action-packed 2D gameplay and challenging platforming segments, with a Souls-like Cthulhu-esque boss monster.

Pengwinter uses a checkpoint system in order to prevent players from restarting at the beginning of the level upon death. Enemies can damage the player, reducing their health, but players can regain health by attacking and defeating the enemies.

Pengwinter was developed with controller support in mind, and control hints or menus in-game will change depending on which controller and control schema is being used.
